Today I have for you a purple lip gloss from L’Oreal. I know I said that I usually do not wear strong colors on my lips. It is true. But that does not mean that I don’t buy any 😀 I am a beautyholic after all and I love to try and buy new makeup. Even bold colored lip glosses.
My excuse for this purchase is that it was on a huge sale and I bought it for 70% off. The packaging is really, really nice and luxurious.
They say that the only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys. Well… for some women (me included) that is true just as much. Although… the makeup I buy is usually a lot cheaper than my son’s toys 😀 So… I still win.
I never had ( and probably never will) have the nerve to wear this outside the house. Halloween might have been a good excuse but Idid not go to any Haloween party this year so…not just yet.
The above phrase explains exactly why the characteristics section of this review is so short. I will not be able to give you any details about how long it lasts or how it reacts when the weather is cold and this kind of details. I only applied it while I was in the house.
Please tell me I am not the only crazy person that likes putting on makeup even without going anywhere. I just like to try things and experiment.
Characteristics of the L’oreal Lip Gloss Caresse Glam Shine Stain Splash in Milady
Scent: sweet, not strong
Color: light purple
Results: you can apply one layer for just a hint of purple or 2 layers for a more saturated color. However, the color is never opaque.
Pros: It is a good alternative if you want to try something that is really trendy without completely changing the kind of makeup you usually wear.
Cons: The tone/color does not suit everyone and it is a little difficult to wear.
My thoughts on the L’oreal Lip Gloss Caresse Glam Shine Stain Splash in Milady
As I stated previously I don’t feel comfortable wearing bold colors on my lips. It does not mean I can stop myself from buying them :)) I am like those women that want to lose weight so they buy dresses 1 size smaller thinking that that will, eventually, motivate them to lose the weight.
I buy things that I know I will not use up thinking that seeing them in my makeup kit will make me want to wear them. Sometimes it works. I put on red lipstick, for example. A few years ago that was not an option I was even taking into consideration. Things changed a bit.
Still, this purple lip gloss was not among those courageous choices. I only put it on while I was at home. I have pale skin and plump lips and I feel like this color would be ok for me only if I’d go to a club. And that is as likely to happen as it is likely for me to see Las Vegas next week (0, just to be clear).
I decided to review it just in case any of you might want to purchase it and you could not find any post about it. I hope this helped.
Do you buy things that you know that are 99% chances that you will not use them? If you did, what are those products? Buying them made any difference for you as it did for me?
